Theatre Royal Drury Lane unveils festive Afternoon Tea

Theatre Royal Drury Lane, affectionately known as The Lane, invites guests to step into a world of sparkle and seasonal delight with the launch of its Festive Showstopping Afternoon Tea.
Live now and until only January 11th 2026, Showstopping Afternoon Tea brings the magic of theatre to the timeless tradition of Afternoon Tea.
For a limited time only, the menu will feature: a gingerbread macaron, orange and chocolate yule log and clementine and cranberry meringue tart, alongside homemade fruit scones with festive jam and clotted cream, layered prawn cocktail with brown shrimps, Blythburgh pork sausage rolls with piccalilli ketchup and Spenwood cheese and thyme tartlet with cranberry jam and nutmeg.
All served with a wide range of Extract Tea and the opportunity to include Taittinger champagne.
Staying true to theatrical traditions, the Showstopping Afternoon Tea is staged in two acts.
Act One
Act One invites guests to ‘tread the boards,’ with the savoury options presented on a limited-edition serving board, crafted from the original 101-year-old stage floor removed during the 2019 building restoration.
Act Two
The Showstopping sweets in Act Two will be concealed beneath a resplendent red velvet curtain that is dramatically lifted at the table for the big reveal, evoking the grandeur and essence of theatre’s most iconic moments.
The Lane remains the only theatre in the West End to serve Afternoon Tea. This unique and one-of-a-kind experience is served in the stunning surroundings of the iconic Grand Saloon – one of the finest Regency rooms in London.
